Field and laboratory testing in snowboardcross
Bohůnková, Marie ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Gnad, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Terrain and laboratory testing in Snowboardcross Objectives: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare the validity between terrain and laboratory tests and to evaluate the relationship of tests and the rating of the Czech National Cup in snowboardcross. Methods: Laboratory measurement of lower body measured by Bosco test (repeated jumps per 60 seconds), followed by terrain testing of lower body, which is consisted of broad jump, triple jump and shuttle run 4x10 meters. The probands are 3 female athletes in snowboardcross discipline, aged from 13 to 15 year old. The results of terrain and laboratory testing was compared with the results of rating of Czech National Cup. Results: We discovered that laboratory and terrain tests are similar. The probands has had the same position in 5 tests of 6 total. That means, that proband with the best results of terrain testing has also the best results in laboratory testing. But no proven connection between results of the test and their standing in rating of the Czech National Cup was found. The results of the best proband proved the best performance in races, but the results of remaining probands didn't confirm this relationship. The proband with the worst results of testing (laboratory and terrain) took 4th place in the rating of the Czech...
The Development of Tonic Abilites of Senior - Pupils in Volleyball
Milfaitová, Yvetta ; Buchtel, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
Diploma Thesis Title: The Development of the Tonic Abilities of Senior-Pupils in Volleyball Goals of Thesis: This work is focusing on the raising of the tonic abilities level of senior-pupils in volleyball, by the support of the selected training program. I am trying to verify the effectiveness of the created training program for the development of these abilities. Method: To determine the effect of the created training program for the development of the tonic abilities, we used the method of testing. The testing was performed mainly by using the test-file for SCM and KCM, used to test the level of motor abilities of pupils, held once a year during the "Memorial of R. Myslik". Results: Results and conclusions of the work could be used in the training process for volleyball youth, especially to developing fitness assumptions, which are an integral part of the gaming achievement of the individual. Key words: Measurement, testing, motor level, training, fitness, jump

Using kettlebell swing to increase the explosive strength of the lower limbs on volleyball players
JEŘÁBKOVÁ, Andrea
This Bachelor thesis deals with question of training explosive power of lower limbs by volleyball players. Because of high important, jump is the main part of performance in volleyball, it´s necessary to keep development of explosive power in training thoroughly. In development of this power is used technique of deep squat with a barbell, in which upper limbs are inactive. However for jump, upper limbs are used as one of necessary parts so for this research kettlebell swing technique was used, as its involve upper limbs and the body generally. The theoretical part of this thesis contains a description of muscular power, its meaning and what affects it. The part also contains description of volleyball jump, its performing during the game and its overall contribution to player´s performance. In this part is description of kettlebell swing technique, why it´s suited to increasing explosive power of lower limbs and how its affect organism. Furthermore, there is a description of its correct execution and muscle involvement during the exercise. In the same way is written a chapter about the technique of deep squat with a barbell. Practical part was made as a qualitative research by using of six case casuistry, which contains input and output kinesiological analysis, tests of postural stabilization and postural reactibility by Kolář, tests of shortened muscles by Janda and tests of explosive power (K-test, absolute reach and standing long jump). In this part are also described methods, carrying out and results of examinations and tests that have been conducted in this research. Research takes three months, during which, tested subjects practiced particular techniques and then by their own training plans ordered by teams. In results there are described individual case casuistry, and at the end of each case casuistry is evaluation of each subject. In overall evaluation are compared results of tests of explosive power and other examination of all subjects. Results shows importance of correct execution and correct activation of deep stabilization system. During the research two subject were injured so their exercises and final results was affected. This Bachelor thesis could be used as a source of information for coaches or players, not only, volleyball and also it could be used for rehabilitation after injuries of lower limbs. Thanks to moves made during kettlebell swing, which comes from hip joints, aren´t knee joints loaded so much. After operations and necessary immobility occurs muscular atrophy, decentered position of lower limbs root joints and instability. Due this reason kettlebell swing technique could be used to increase muscle strength of lower limbs after injuries of meniscus, anterior cruciate ligament, joint ankle distortions and various traumatic injuries of lower limbs.
Acute effect of static and dynamic stretching on vertical jump
Dostálová, Anna ; Lopot, František (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title Acute effect of static and dynamic stretching on vertical jump. Objectives The aim of this thesis is to assess whether it is better to warm up by static or dynamic stretching in order to improve performance in the vertical jump. Methods The first part of this thesis is theoretical and is the basis for measurement, which is described in the second part. The tested set consists of ten women volleyball players. Each player underwent three vertical jump measurements on power plates Kistler, which recorded flight time of the player over the plates. All measurements were evaluated afterwards. Five attempts were recorded in each measurement. Measurements were carried out without stretching, after dynamic stretching and after static stretching. The thesis includes a survey that monitors the perception of the players` performance. Results Results of the total tested set measurement show that inclusion of dynamic stretching during the warm up leads to a slight decline in the physical performance. This decrease presents about 0.92%. Another conclusion of this research is that the inclusion of static stretching to the warm up also results in a slight decrease in the athletic performance. In this case the decrease is about 1.72%. In a direct comparison of these two types of stretching, the inclusion of...
Monitoring of jumping performance among beach volleyball players.
Cónová, Tereza ; Vorálek, Rostislav (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Monitoring of jumping performance among beach volleyball players Objectives: The aims were to analyze in-game jumping performance in young beach volleyball players and to compare the frequency of jumps between attackers and blockers as well as the difference of the jumping performance between boys and girls and between teams playing against each other. Methods: The method of observation and frequency counting were used in this work. For this purpose, videos from the World and European Junior Championships were used. The frequency method was used to determine the frequency of jumps in serving, smashing, and blocking. The jumping performances in teams playing against each other as well as gender differences were observed. The results were recorded in graphs and tables. Results: 16 teams were analyzed, 2 of which were from the Czech Republic. In terms of quality and frequency of jumps, a significant difference between girls and boys was observed. Girls were more likely backed down in spite of opponents' good recording to smash probably because they missed getting to the net after servicing. Boys rarely used the jump float serve technique. The individual pairs were roundly misaligned. Keywords: blocker, fielder player, comparison, specialization, team, video, jump, load
